Germs, Yuck!

How do good scientists answer questions about our world?

Cover those coughs!
Last week, we began a new science experiment in our classroom. In order to investigate what happens when we cough (and why we cover our mouths!) we are experimenting with bread. Students each coughed on a slice of white bread and sealed it in a Ziploc bag. Over the next week or so, we will be observing our bread to see what happens! We made sure to include a few clean "control" slices, which will show us what happens to the bread if it hasn't been coughed on.
We're hoping to see something interesting!

Sincerely,
Mr, Kilham
