How can we use programming to solve real world problems?
Today our class participated in the Hour of Code! We learned how computer programmers use special computer codes to write programs, and then we had an opportunity to try for ourselves. Students played a coding game where they had to direct an Angry Bird into a pig! As they progressed, the levels grew more and more difficult, and our students had to show resilience and innovation to solve the problems correctly.
You can try these games yourself at home. If your child completes the Angry Bird challenge, I have certificates of completion for their hard work! The image below will take you to the Hour of Code website.
They were all so focused!
Great work everyone!
Sincerely,
Mr. Kilham
